Scientific work is organized in 5 areas. :„Electrodeposition and dissolution“,„Corrosion research“, “Process and process control”,  „Modelling and simulation“, ,„Surface analytics and electrochemical in situ techniques“. Based on a fundamental understanding of electrochemical processes and supported by modelling and simulation techniques, correlations between electrochemical production parameters and properties of the resulting surfaces with respect e.g. to corrosion resistivity, wear behaviour or bio compatibility will be established. In addition all these processes must fulfil the requirements of a green technology.
