Future Building is aiming at

• a new, totally mineral based of thermal wall insulation system, based on expanded Perlite
• a new heat meter for heat pump systems
• a multifunctional, highly adaptive glazing element or another wall insulation system made out of waste and recycled mineral wool
• improvements in the sector of prefabricated light weight buildings
• development of a monolithic brick wall system suitable for passiv house standard
• biomass based heating systems towards carbon neutral low energy houses houses.

Research topics:
Future building develops innovative solutions for sustainable buildings. One area, ‚Components’ deals with imrovements in building services, materials and constructions. The second area, ‚Systems’ aims at integrated building systems, such as light weight prefab houses, zero carbon emission buildings based on biomass systems or thermally activating prefabricated concrete constructions.
