ONCOTYROL (K1) - Center for Personalized Cancer Medicine

ONCOTYROL is an international partnership between academia and industry to accelerate the development and evaluation of individualized cancer therapies, along with prognostic and preventive methods. The network is based on the excellent basic scientific and clinical expertise in oncology. The centre will help to close the gap between research and commercial development, saving time and increasing cost efficiency and innovation potential.
Planned realisation and outcomes:
Major Goal: important advances in cancer prevention, diagnosis and therapy by the implementation of personalized medicine, with the explicit intention of improving patient quality of life.
Technologies implemented: Tumor cell biology and immunology, bioanalytics, biomarker diagnosis, cancer therapy and prevention, decision modeling, and health economics.

ONCOTYROL is focussed on 3 types of cancer: Breast cancer, Prostate cancer, and Leukemia (CML)
