"The BWI is a non-profit organisation which promotes the collective interest of companies, training and research centres, schools and persons engaged in the field of welding and joining materials.

The members’ list is composed of manufacturers, suppliers, constructors, users, as well as training and research centres.

The Institute offers a wide range of services: consultancy, information, technology transfer, research, testing, failure investigation and training. An extensive knowledge and expertise guarantee the high quality of every intervention.

In July 2003, BWI obtained the Q*For quality label for training and consultancy. This qualification was renewed in 2006 and the Institute is thus recognized in the framework of the “BEA-Ondernemerschapsportefeuille“ (consultancy and training)."
