Flanders InShape is a competence center for product development and industrial design.  It has been founded by the Flemish government in collaboration with the Flemish Industrial Federation, with a number of product design companies, specialized centers and high schools. Thematically, the competence center covers the integrated process of product development, from market knowledge to product specifications.
Flanders InShape is a platform for strategic cooperation between different actors in the field of product development and industrial design, within Flanders and abroad.

The objectives of Flanders InShape are :

• Improve innovation culture and spirit of companies by promoting product innovation in a broad sense.
• Build a platform for cooperation for all actors in the field of product development and design.
• Knowledge transfer to companies
• Research activities: multi-disciplinary development of knowledge concerning product development and design, especially activities that establish a link between fundamental research and applied methodologies.  

Flanders InShape is looking for cooperation and knowledge exchange with similar centers and R&D departments.
