STACC is one of the three new Centres established in 2009.
Competence Centre has two strategic development areas:
1) Data Integration and Mining (DIM) and
2) Software and Services Engineering (SSE).

 The focus of the STACC research is to develop world class solutions and base for new products and applications in following areas:

- Web analytics
- Biomedical data mining
- Privacy – preserving data mining
- Internet applications
- ICT – enabled services, and
- Software engineering
