The purpose of the Automotive Field of Competence is to expand regional and cross-regional cooperation through joint projects involving production, training/education, procurement, sales/marketing and logistics. The network’s core expertise lies in the fields of metalworking/metal processing, electric/electronic/mechatronic technologies and surface treatment/finishing. The Bergische University generates synergies, hosting the only institute in Germany to offer studies in safety engineering, along with engineering, e-tech and industrial design.
