ENNaB - Excellence Network NanoBioTechnology

The “Excellence Network NanoBioTechnology” (ENNaB) is a network of young scientist groups and companies in the region of Munich/Bavaria. Its research and work is in the interdisciplinary field of nanobiotechnology. It emerged from the Competence Center Nanoanalytic (CCN) in Munich and was founded at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich in October 2003 as a joint promotion project of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology (BayStMWIVT). Due to its intermediary positioning between university and industry it acts as a direct link between the levels of institutional basic research and commercial application. ENNaB’s long-term goal is the formation of a capable nanobiotechnology cluster in order to consolidate and expand the current status of the region as an internationally prominent scientific and high-tech location.
