"Materials Valley e.V. was founded in 2002 with a view to promoting the Rhein Main area as a high tech location for material science and construction materials. Its objectives include:

• establishing Materials Valley as an attractive cluster serving as a magnet for high qualified workers, scientists and students

• extending the existing knowledge net into an cluster of material science as a base of cooperation between companies and institutions and common research & development

• building an information platform and promoting events such as lectures and workshops with relevant themes for its members

• building an alumni-net to stabilise the material science community in Materials Valley

• finding jobs or positions

• organizing events for start-ups and young entrepreneurs

• building an atlas of competence with a strength-and weakness profile as a base for common projects of economy and science "
