Optec-Berlin-Brandenburg (OpTecBB) is an initiative of companies and scientific institutes in Berlin and Brandenburg, whose common goal encompasses the development and utilization of optical technologies. The competence network aims at bringing together protagonists of optical technologies to make a lasting contribution towards strengthening the innovation potential of the regional economy. It offers a platform for the protagonists, the majority of whom are members, to network within the region and develops close contacts to other regional competence networks.
