"Teltra is a young company specializing in the development of new, innovative, quality-assured applications of medical telematics. This work includes software development and the integration of complete application systems. Teltra pursues the development of these products through to commercial maturity, and markets them through cooperative ventures with clinics and other agencies.

The universities of Bochum and Karlsruhe established the TELTRA competence center to pursue joint interests in telecommunications and computing in the area of traumatology. The research group is located on the grounds of the Bergmannsheil university clinical center and works in cooperation with Bochum University. TELTRA offers a wide product portfolio, ranging from virtual ward rounds (referred to as Televisite) to online treatment for blind people."
