The Textile Research Council (TRC) encompasses the Central Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry as well as the regional and trade associations with the aim of promoting and co-ordinating collective research projects. Research projects supporting the value-added textile chain are implemented together with the partner organisations from related operational areas such as textile machinery, synthetic fibres, dyeing and textile services. On behalf of and with the financial support of TRC, the textile research institutes offer a low-cost enterprise advice and information service, transferring research results to an applied industrial environment. The participating institutes are brought together as members of a consulting board and thus integrated in an advising capacity into the work of the TRC.
