The virtual Software Engineering Competence Center comprising eight national research organizations provides an electronic knowledge base in the field of software engineering, focusing on the application domains of critical systems and e-business. It thus addresses the needs of thousands of companies that have to engineer increasingly complex software in an effective manner. The competence center works together with national associations, with local interest groups of small and medium-sized enterprises as well as with universities.
