The Wind Energy Agency Bremerhaven/Bremen (WAB) brings you into contact with one of the most innovative wind power regions of Germany.
    
Northern Germany is the heart of the German wind industry. The dedicated specialists and wind turbine operators of this region have been contributing to the global success of wind power for over 20 years. These inventors have transformed into dynamic companies and continue to make pioneering advances: the engineers of our region are currently developing the world’s largest and most effective wind turbines with capacities of 5 megawatts (MW) and more. 

The development departments of WAB’s member companies are now preparing to build offshore wind farms in Germany and other areas in the North Sea. Wind measurement towers and offshore wind turbines are being constructed directly on the coast and then transported through seaports to the wind farms of the future – the North Sea, one of the windiest places on Earth.

WAB is the wind energy network of companies and institutes and working for them. It is also a liaising agency to the politically responsible bodies and local public authorities. We support our members by conducting industry studies and initiating research projects. Furthermore we assist our network partners by offering seminars, study trips, market analyses and trade fair representation.

Our services help international companies find suitable partners in the north-west region for anything related to onshore or offshore wind farms - from planning, financing and construction to the actual installation and operation of wind turbines. 150 members have joined our network in the past three years, which is the best kind of promotion we can imagine. This competent group of partners has much to offer, also for international wind energy companies on the global markets.
