Collaborative Support Systems in the Global Economy

The collaborative systems represent a new interdisciplinary field of research, being between economics, business, computer science, cybernetics, Cognition sciences, psychology, linguistic, decision and executive support systems, management (more exactly the work schedule), etc. We consider that a short, but comprehensive definition of the collaboration systems is the following: a collaborative system is a collection of dynamic objects, which communicate and cooperate for a common or shared objective. These systems are based on the 3C (coordination, communication and cooperation). Once with the Internet extension and the passing from the academic applications to economics and business applications, were appeared the new possibilities but also the requirements of the global economy. This changed many elements of the organizational culture by extension of the group decision support systems, project management, the accounting and auditing system (by consolidate account systems and continuous audit on the Internet), enterprise portals, systems evaluation (new metrics), etc. Were extended many paradigms, as the distributed collaborative enterprises, have appeared the virtual organizations, and not the last the intelligent organizations. These systems need new models based on strategic games, distributed artificial intelligence (multi-agent paradigm), new intelligent cooperation models (by example black board), etc. These new models are effect not only on the economy and business but also on other domains as: the education, the medicine, the technology transfer. These models have also other collateral effects. In this respect were extended the distributed databases and knowledge bases paradigm at the federative ones, were developed collaborative strategies in Data Mining. Romania, need to involve it's in the collaborative systems development. This project aims to study and implement these new models and to create a strategic advantage to Romanian economy.
