The project named is dedicated to the construction of the NANOCONS consortium with four research groups from Iasi (Al.I.Cuza University-CATPATH research center and the National Institute for Research and Development for Technical Physics IFT) and Bucharest (Politehnica University - MAGNAT research center and ICPE Advanced Research SA). The NANOCONS consortium is founded to produce the sinergy of the efforts and experience of the mentioned groups to promote scientific research in the domain of multifunctional nanostructured materials (priority both for Romania and for European Union). To assure the sustainability for medium and long term of this important research effort, the consortium members agree, with the help of this program, to organize a formation system for the students enrolled in the post university studies (master, Ph.D. and continuing education) and the efficient joint use of the laboratories resources and the present experience. Practically, this contract follows the modern tendecy known as <<knowledge-based training through research>>. NANOCONS has three major objectives-types: scientific, educational and those concerning the international relations of the consortium in order to increase the chanses to have an honorable place in the research structures of the future. All the component groups have already a vast experience in the scientific research (certified by the publications in the prestigeous scientific journals, in international monographies, in citation of our results) and in the formation of master and Ph.D. students in the field of nanotechnologies. The cooperation relations already in place for many years, the group expertise and the existent experimental and computational facilities are suggesting that this association will be successful and of great perspective.
