The main objective of the project is to establish a regional centre for topographic science, digital cartography, remote sensing and geographical information systems (GIS). The centre should be capable of offering competitive services in these areas. The resources of the centre will be used both for continuing education (master, postgraduate degrees and postdoctoral research) and for complex GIS and remote sensing projects.
