BIOMATCELL - Biomaterials Structure Dynamics and Properties - linking internationally successful R&D within biomaterials and cell therapy. The Center will use such things as stem cell technology to produce new materials for implants and prostheses which are individually adapted to patients so as to speed up the healing process. It will also develop new methods of evaluating the material before and after insertion. The venture is a collaboration between Göteborg University, Chalmers, the IBCT, SP, IVF/SCI, IFP research institutes and a range of companies within the life sciences sector. The investment is also being supported by Business Region Göteborg, Region Västra Götaland and several seed and venture capital companies.
