CHASE is a VINN Excellence Center within antenna systems at Chalmers. It will start in the begin-ning of 2007 and is sponsored by VINNOVA with SEK 70 million over 10 years. The center is hosted by the Department of Signals and Systems (S2). It covers the research areas of nine Chalmers professors within antennas, signals, systems, electro-magnetic computations, medical engineering and biological effects of microwaves. 18 Swedish companies will join actively in the reserach projects. They cover the market areas wireless communications, satellite communications, medical technology, safety and remote sensing.
