NGIL - Next Generation Innovative Logistics

Next Generation Innovative Logistics, NGIL, is a VINN Excellence Center based at Lund Institute of Technology, Lund University.
The vision of NGIL is to provide knowledge, methods, techniques and tools for companies and organizations to increase supply chain visibility and to manage deviation in logistics systems.
Interdisciplinary research projects within the themes Visibility and Risk sharing have started. Additional research projects in the theme Adaptive logistics will be started early next year.
The objective with NGIL is:
• To recruit, develop, foster and retain a concentration of world-class logistics skills, perform innovative research, and accelerate industry advancement.
• To provide knowledge, methods, techniques and tools for companies and organizations to improve their logistics activities, particularly in connection to supply chain visibility and risk management.
• To encourage participating partners in guiding, acquiring, generating and disseminating knowledge and competences in order to accelerate learning and advancement in logistics.
• To create innovative and competitive logistic solutions and competence for Swedish industries.
• To develop and test new modes of partner – university co-operation and thus improve the innovation system as such.
