The Competence Centre for Automotive Research (CCAR) is a partnership for innovation between the Automotive Industry, independent Research Institutes like the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and Universities in the area of automotive technology with its main base in Eindhoven. Objective of the partnership is to realise a platform for market-driven research in several key areas of automotive technology. Research based on the needs of the industry and the scientific expertise available in the participating knowledge institutes. The focus of the research program is primarily pre-competitive with a time line of 5 - 10 years.
