The Medical Polymers Research Institute (MPRI) Centre of Excellence has been established in Queen’s University to carry out industrially relevant, market leading fundamental and applied research on medical polymers (polymeric biomaterials) for the development of medical devices and medical packaging materials. MPRI provides the technological driver for local industry to exploit the high technology, value-added sector of the healthcare market and will further develop existing links with major multinationals.
