Conference: Europe in Transition - Meeting Place 2010

The third annual conference of the Research Council's Europe in Transition (EUROPA) programme will present the programme's three projects under the heading "Tradition and Law in a Changing Europe".

The objective of the EUROPA programme is to promote basic and multidisciplinary research on cultural, political and economic change processes in Europe and the ways in which these changes affect Norway.

The first phase of the EUROPA programme encompasses the following thematic areas:

• Law and democracy in Europe
• Economic development and integration
• Cultural change processes
• Foreign and security policy in Europe

The conference will be held in English. The invitation and registration information will be sent out at a later date. This year's event will be coordinated by Chr. Michelsen's Institute (CMI). The contact person at the Research Council of Norway is Kjersti Asland.
