In the name of the partners of the Baltic Sea Region programme project “PlasTEP” we are pleased to announce the international interdisciplinary Summer School on Plasma Technology for Environment Protection. This summer school will be hosted by the Riga Technical University (Latvia) and is going to be held from the 9th to the 20th August, 2010.
The summer school lasts for twelve days and includes presentations and discussion groups led by international experts in the field of plasma technologies, combustion and environmental protection. In addition to the discussion programme, the students are divided into teams to undertake short research activities on issues of importance within the plasma technologies area, with a presentation to their peers at the end of the week. Time is also allocated for networking and for informal discussions with the assembled experts.
Students leaving at the end of the twelfth day will have developed a network of contacts in the field of plasma technologies and environmental protection and will have gained a broad overview of the issues surrounding sustainable environmental technologies development and implementation.
