FFG FORUM 2010 - Competence and Excellence

One of the highlights of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) Forum is our annual symposium, to which we invite entrepreneurs, scientists, and experts in the field to discuss future-oriented topics of science and innovation together with acknowledged representatives of business, science, and politics.

This year’s symposium, to be held on Thursday, 9th of September 2010 under the auspices of Federal Ministers Doris Bures and Reinhold Mitterlehner, will focus on "Competence and Excellence”.

The two successful calls for the COMET funding programme have resulted in remarkable new approaches to cooperative research in Austria. Representatives of the national and international research communities will present the changes and chances that are now arising in the fi eld and discuss their implications for competence centers in Austria as seen by business, science and public authorities.
