An event entitled 'Info day on the FP7-SEC-2011-1 Security Research Call' will be held on 9 September 2010 in Brussels, Belgium.This information day will highlight information about a new call launched on 20 July 2010 under the 'Security' theme of the Seventh Framework Programme.Security-related research is an important building block for supporting European freedom, security and justice. It also contributes to developing technologies and capabilities in support of other European Community policy areas such as transport, civil protection, energy, environment and health.The event is designed to inform participants about proposals, as well as to provide information on legal and procedural conditions. Attendants will also have the opportunity to network, present their ideas and find potential research partners.This specific call is open to research institutions, universities, industries, SMEs, civil society organisations and any security stakeholders.
