Smart Antennas are a promising technology provide the best possible transmission of signals in future mobile radio applications. Smart Antennas are a combination of an array of individual antenna elements. This combination enables them to distinguish signal contributions arriving from different directions. To know the characteristics of the mobile radio channel a measurement evaluation was performed by ftw. researchers. Part of the received data was successfully licensed to industrial manufactureres.
