TILES THAT PULL BLINDERS UP AND OTHER MODDERN LIFE PROGRESS
Highlight of the CRC IBV
Over 700.000 people have proved that in Valencia Region exist innovative enterprises that work with the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia (IBV) in order to improve the quality of life of people by the customised design of products and services. Tiles that pull blinders up and down from TAU, adjustable desks for all sizes from Federico Giner, obtaining your 3D image and daring to dare to try on the outfits of Valencia’s designers, customised long life knee implants from Surgival... are some of the technological advances that prove that the future is within our reach.
The exhibition “Cuidamos tu calidad de vida” (“We care for your quality of life”) allows children, adults and elderly to experience with the above described advances in the Sciences Museum Príncipe Felipe. It is an initiative promoted by the Association for the Care of the Quality of Life (CVIDA) with the financing of the Regional Ministry of Industry Commerce and Innovation.
IBV is a technological centre that studies the behaviour of the human body and its interaction with products, environments and services. Founded in 1976, the Institute is part of the Network of Technological Institutes of the Valencian Region (REDIT).
